Lake Constance, Lindau & Mainau Island

Plan a day trip to Lake Constance, visit the city of Lindau (about 100 km from our hotel) and the nearby Mainau Island (about 130 km from our hotel). The vicinity to Switzerland also allows for a visit to Zurich (about 230 km from our hotel).

With a sea of fiery colours and beguiling scents, the spring blossoms lure you outdoors.

The bulb flowers open up a truly colorful season on the Mainau. From March to May, snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils, blue stars and tulips form a magnificent carpet of flowers. The sight of this sea of colors against the backdrop of the deep blue lake and the partly still snow-covered Alps will thrill you. Every year in autumn around 500,000 flower bulbs are planted.

More than one million flowers blossom around the end of April to the beginning of May.
